Dion attended the University of the District of Columbia, where he played basketball for three years. For the past 12 years he has been coaching basketball in the Los Angeles area. He coached at Marlborough School for six years, LACES for four years, and is the owner of the Team Assault LA Girls Basketball Club.
While at Marlborough, Dion won a middle school championship, as well as three sportsmanship awards as a coach. He also won three CIF-SS Championships and a CIF State Championship as a member of the Varsity Coaching Staff. Later at LACES, Dion won two CIF City Section Championships, and was named CIF City Section Coach of the year twice.
Boys Basketball High School Fr/So Head Coach
Stacey’s experience is well rounded. As a youngster, he grew up in the Kansas City area, then relocated to North Dakota. He was an outstanding athlete at Central High School in Grand Forks earning nine varsity letters in basketball, football, tennis and track. Additionally he has earned All-State, All-Region and All-Conference and MVP in every sport, including All-American honors in basketball. Stacey chose to attend North Dakota State- School of Science (’78-’80) where he lead the team in scoring and rebounding two years, then transferred to University of North Dakota (’80-’82) for two years.
In the summers between college school years he participated in the Chicago Pro Basketball Summer Leagues for International Playboy and Nike. After his collegiate years he was released from several NBA team (Chicago, Dallas, San Diego). In addition to coordinating the boys basketball program at the Geffen Academy, Stacey is the founder and executive director of the Basketball Development Academy, with operations in Los Angeles, Seattle, Reno, Atlanta, and Bermuda.
Boys Basketball Middle School (Blue) Head Coach
Aaron is a 2010 graduate of Bellevue High School in Bellevue, Washington. He received a full-ride basketball scholarship to Stanford University where he was a two-year team captain. He received numerous awards, including 2012 Postseason NIT Most Outstanding Player, 2012 Dick’s Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off All-Tournament Team selection and ranks in the Top ten assists in the Stanford basketball program. Aaron graduated from Stanford in 2014 with a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology & Society. Due to a season-ending injury his senior year, Aaron played his final year of eligibility at Saint Mary’s College of California where he received All League Honorable Mention & received his Master’s Degree in Leadership Psychology.
Aaron began his coaching career in college where he coached teams in numerous camps for Stanford University, Saint Mary’s College & Bellevue High School. He’s also been a skills development coach for six years.
Basketball Boys Middle School (Gold) Head Coach
Tony was born in Louisiana, where he went to Bossier City High School. Tony played JV and Varsity Basketball and ran Varsity track and field. He was also selected All City in the high jump and the 400m. After a stellar high school career, he followed his heart to serve and joined the U.S. Army, serving as Combat Medic for six years. Tony has perfected his coaching and basketball training skills working with Coach Stacey Scott at the Basketball Development Academy, and has become an elite skills developer.
